Medical Dermatology
Consultant Dermatologists like Mia are trained to treat over 3,000 skin conditions including acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, urticaria, pigmentary disorders such as melasma, vitiligo. Dr Mia will make a full assessment of your skin issue in the context of your medical history to agree a personalised, evidence-based treatment plan
Hair and Scalp
Dr Mia regularly manages hair and scalp conditions including seborrheic dermatitis, male pattern baldness, female pattern hair loss, alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia, scarring alopecia and lichen planopilaris.
Mole checks and mapping
Dr Mia performs full skin checks using dermoscopy and offers mole mapping with the VECTRA WB360: the most advanced mole mapping system in the UK. She is experienced in managing skin cancer and melanoma. She is the Lead of the Specialist Skin Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team at Royal Free Hospital, and works closely with plastic surgery and oncology colleagues.
Surgical Dermatology
Dr Mia performs a high volume of skin surgery and can advise on the best technique. Her aim is to make you as comfortable as possible, and to achieve the best cosmetic result. She performs cryotherapy, biopsies, curettage and cautery, and excision of skin cancers as well as benign growths like warts, skin tags or cysts. .
